In addition to being faster and more efficient, the new system is also more environmentally friendly  it eliminates the film, the chemicals, and their disposal that were required previously. And now with electronic transmission, MVMC no longer is dependant on courier services to transport films.
According to Linda McGrath, R.T., the Clinic's radiologist of 16 years, "This is the most exciting, most interesting advance in radiography technology in years. It allows me to better serve my patients and dramatically improve the path to recovery from a couple days to minutes for radiologist interpretation of images."
